NEON!

Okay so I was out shopping for the last bits of my Halloween costume and I came across these GREEN shoes. They were marked down over 50% off to only $10. I just couldn't refuse! They were too loud! They were screaming my name. Then I found this dress marked down to $10 also! What a steal! I wore this ensemble to church today.

"Friends are those that know us and love us anyway."
I'm so lucky to have these friends! They are so goofy and crazy just like me and I love spending time with them and being able to be myself without any inhibitions! Lucky me!

Joy Ride

[me & Keirstin Paterson]

Little different than a close call of a car crash. Hurray for quadding! One of the girls, Kara Palmer, that came with us to the cabin was nice enough to bring her three quads and one dirt bike. Pretty much all day today was spent taking little rides on the quads, then taking a break with some games or just lazy chatting while a few others went for a ride and then we were back on the trails! I wish I got to do this more often, it is so much fun!

Close Call

Today a bunch of my friends drove to Payson to stay at Josh and Jaimie Alston's cabin for the weekend. We left from Keirstin Paterson's house in her Suburban but ended up going back and switching cars and driving up in Brady Weston's Tahoe. Why? because we almost died! Okay let me explain....
We were on the Beeline headed north and had just passed the intersection at Shea Blvd. We were coming up to the next light and it turned yellow. Keirstin was driving. She started slowing down but as we got closer and closer to the car in front of us I started getting nervous, worrying that we weren't slowing down enough to stop in time. Just about that time, Keirstin says "Ya- we're not stopping." Appartently she was pushing as hard as she could on the brakes but we weren't slowing down any more. At the last second right before we hit the car in front of us that was stopped and the now red light, she turned left into the empty space between our lane and the left hadn turn lane. Then we made a quick right and went in front of the the 3 lanes of traffic that had just stopped and pulled into a gas station on the corner. Thankfully, we didn't hit anyone and no one hit us. The light had just changed to red so there weren't cars from the other direction moving yet. So we turned around and went back to Keirstin's and traded cars!
And that's how I almost died! Thank goodness no one was hurt! And thanks to Heavenly Father for watching over us and that we found out about that problem before we got into the mountains with big cliffs, because it seemed that the brakes worked fine if we were on level ground but as we were coming to the stop light we were coasting down a hill.
This is a picture of the gas station we pulled into after our close call. I snagged a shot of it the second time we drove by.

Mmm, breakfast

Today I'm sharing one of my favorite foods! Eggo waffles! To be honest- I don't like waffles much. I like Eggo waffles, I like waffles from Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles, and I like Brother Fuller's homemade waffles. shh, but I'm not even really that fond of my mom's waffles. I just like pancakes so much better! Anyway, I LOVE Eggo waffles. I could eat them any time. I eat them in the afternoon just for a snack, I just love them!
p.s. I'm convinced spray butter was invented for waffles. It makes it so you don't get a big chunk of butter stuck in each square when you try to spread it. They were meant to be!

Perspective

Today I went back to my high school to see a friend, Sam Lloyd. His birthday is next week and so I told him I would come visit him at school if I could. I got out of class early today so I had enough time to swing by.
It was interesting to be there and see things from a new perspective. To see things the same and the things that were different. It was weird to see the things that were the same and feel differently about them now than I remember. Strange how a few years can change everything.

Beautiful Eyes

I know, I know, more pictures of the twins? yes.
Why? because they are so cute- how can I refuse to take their picture?!

Tie game today. I couldn't put up a picture of just one of them, so here you are- today is a Two-for-One day! Mackenzie has the bluest eyes I've ever seen. When she is outside they light up and sparkle like sapphires! Addison's are a beautiful hazel. Some days they are more green or more brown than others, but usually a perfect blend of the two.

Born to be a star!

More pictures of babies! haha, it's hard to find new things to take pictures of when my schedule is so repetitive. I'm sure I'll get better as time goes on, but for now you're going to have to deal with it. :P I love this picture because of what Addison is doing. She was just trying to take off those Star glasses but it looks just like she pulled them to the end of her nose to shoot me that look!

Like it was yesterday...

Today's picture is of Kayla! Between sessions of General Conference I practiced different hairdos on her for her upcoming Homecoming dance. She is going with Jacob Lythgoe from our stake, I don't know him but he seems like a good kid...we'll see though. :P I tried a few different things but I think this is what we will end up doing, or at least something similar.
I just can't believe she is already old enough for all this! [dating and dances] It seems like I was just doing all that myself a few weeks ago. Crazy how time flies!

Pyramid

[Top to Bottom, Left to Right:
Me, Keirstin Paterson
Brein McMillan, Brenda King, Rachel Button
Jaimie Alston, Tim Schnepf, Josh Durrant, James Manning]

Today was pretty eventful too. It was General Conference today so a few of us went to Rachel Button's house at about 8am and we made eggs, bacon, and pancakes and had breakfast and then watched the first session of Conference. After that we went home and then a few of us went to Josh Durrant's house for pizza and the afternoon session of conference. Then that night a bunch of people went to Josh's and we watched Ironman in his theater in his basement and then just hung out in the backyard which is where this pictures was taken. We did all kinds of crazy pictures. Jumping pictures, cartwheel, handstand pictures- everything. :)

Messy Mayhem in Mesa

Okay, so tonight was pretty eventful! My Mesa friends and I planned a messy night. First we started off with a spaghetti dinner, where your hands were tied to the person next to you and you had utensils that were too big. This of course ended up in a food fight.
After that fight was over we started painting with our feet. which of course ended in a paint fight. Needless to say- we were all pretty dirty by the end. We finished the night with some ice cream of course!

Hard work pays off

Well today I didn't have any specific moment that stuck out for me to take a picture of so I tried to think of a theme or something kind of important and came up with this. I had my first test in Psychology today and I was worried about how I would do because there was a lot of information that it covered. But! I studied yesterday and today and when I took my test today I felt confident and I'm pretty sure I got an A. :) so yep- hard work pays off. Not that I didn't already know that, but it still feels good.

also- I had Kayla take this picture for me and while I was fixing my jacket she so kindly snapped the below photo of me. :) it's funny enough I considered putting it up for today's picture instead of the one above.

I got an A on my Psych test! I only missed one question! :D
